John always wanted a Magnolia tree. When we moved to Kamionka Wielka, he got one.
Spring came late to the Eastern Beskids – mid-April, to be exact. Because we moved into the house in mid-May last year, we missed out on seeing our land and the surrounding hills turning green after the long winter. Admittedly, we also missed the three days of thunder, lightning and rain that boosted the green, but that’s all part of it!
We’d never seen how fast a storm could move, mind you. 20 miles from the Tatras and they still give a good push – view to no view in under five minutes.
But today the sun is out, the sky is blue (in places) and the Magnolia is looking amazing.
